How does it work? You can control the paints, candies, and shifters you make, simply by altering the mixture.

Many shops have a HUGE amount of clear coat on hand. What if that was all you needed to make the best custom paint out there (aside from our inexpensive bags of pearl)?

Nuts and Bolts: 1 bag of our "Candy" makes 1 quart of awesome "metallic" paint or as some call them, "polys". 1 bag also makes 2 quarts of candy. It is a good prictice to start your experimenting with 1 level teaspoon per every 4 fl. Oz. of clear coat. Layering different pearl candies and pearls can make for incredible color-shift custom paint, and if that is not your expertise, we have some chameleon paint powders in stock! You can layer our Ghost Pearls onto our chameleons for even more color shift effects!

Attn: More experienced painters need not follow these instructions to the tee.

Remember, You can acheive infinite shades of color from every candy!

Example:

Over a black or dark primer, paint a gold base using 1 bag gold metallic ghost pearl (per quart) powder mixed with clear. Next make a blue candy (1/2 bag per quart) with our Electric Blue or Sky blue and apply at least 3 coats. You now have a green look with blue shift on the "horizons" of your paint. Next, paint a violet pearl (3 coats min.) over it all. This makes a violet tint in the sun, with green tints and blue horizons. Results will vary in accordance with your painting technique, your spray pressure, and your application, but it isn't hard to get a great shifter paint job.

Remember,

Gold + Green = Olive or brown with shift

Blue + Yellow = Green with shift

Red + Blue = Purple/Violet with shift

Pearls + Almost Anything = Awesome.
